General Climate of Bulgaria

Bulgaria has a temperate continental climate with four distinct seasons. The northern and central parts of the country experience a more continental climate with cold winters and hot summers, while the southern areas and the Black Sea coast enjoy a milder, Mediterranean-influenced climate.

Weather in the Burgas Region

The Burgas region, located on the southern Black Sea coast, features a pleasant maritime climate, differing significantly from the inland areas.

Summer (June-August):
  • Temperatures: Daytime highs average 27–30°C, sometimes reaching up to 35°C. Nights are comfortably cool, with temperatures around 20–23°C.
  • Rainfall: Summer is mostly dry, with occasional brief showers or thunderstorms.
